THE CURBEN HOTEL, 1726 SUMMIT ST., SEATTLE, WA
This is a pictoral description of one room at the Curben Hotel in Seattle WA and the accompanying issues I have been enduring while living here.
I suffered a major case of severe septic shock Sep. 2011. After nearly nine months spent in the hospital and nursing homes, and coming to terms with the loss of both my feet and several fingers as a result of my illness, I now had to live on disability until such time I felt able to try and get back to work.
Since February of 2012, I have lived at The Curben Hotel at a rate of $180 per week. Considered a 'transitional' housing, I figured I could tough it out until such time I could move out into something more permanent.
Most of this past year has been a tremendous ordeal due to the unfestation of bedbugs and cockroaches. The management has done nothing to eradicate them and in fact has skirted the law blatantly ignoring what is required of them.
In fact, they have implied that it is my fault and that it is my problem. They intimidate tenants by threatening eviction so people are reluctant to report them due to fear of retribution. I am tired of being intimidated and so I am presenting in this site pictures and video of what I have been experiencing in my room.
Some of the images are graphic since I have hadseveral infections requiring emergency room visits to care for severe abcesses reaulting from bacterial infections I strongly believe are the result of bites from these bugs. It makes the accompanying cockroach problem tame by comparison.
